サイトの目的
Matter辞書は、Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) が公開している Matter仕様を、日本語で引きやすい形に整理したリファレンスサイトです。
スマートホームの普及を「生活者の身近なもの」にするためには、規格の情報がもう少し身近な言葉で読める場所が必要だと感じ、個人プロジェクトとして作りました。

製品データベースについて
掲載している製品は、CSAの認証情報（Distributed Compliance Ledger 等）をもとにしています。これは「Matter認証を取得している」ことを示すもので、特定のエコシステムやお使いの環境で実際に動作・連携することを保証するものではありません。ご導入を検討される際は、必ずメーカーの公式情報や対応状況をご確認ください。

このサイトの位置づけ
ロゴについて
このサイトのロゴは、シンプルな「M」に小さな意味を込めています。
- M ── Matter の頭文字であり、辞書の主役。太くはっきりした字は、安心して引ける「拠りどころ」でありたい、という気持ちです。
- ミントの下線 ── 辞書の「見出し語」につく下線をイメージしました。「ここに、ひとつの言葉の意味が定義されている」という印です。
- 青い点 ── Matter がいちばん大切にしている「つなぐ（機器と機器がつながる）」を表しています。線のとなりにぽつんと置いた点は、“ここで終わり”ではなく、その先へつながっていく余白のつもりです。
落ち着いて調べものに集中できるよう、地の色は濃紺にしました。「言葉にして、つなぐ」──それがこのサイトでやりたいことなので、ロゴにもそっと込めています。

Matter 1.6 — 2026年6月
新しいデバイスカテゴリの追加はなく、既存体験を磨き込んだリリース。
- 新クラスター（3）：環境コンテキストセンシング（人の活動・物体・音の検知）／グループキャスト（複数デバイスへの一斉配信）／温度アラーム（高温・低温の段階通知）
- 主な機能：NFCタッチでのコミッショニング、Joint Fabric（複数エコシステムでの共同管理）、サーモスタットサジェスチョン（提案ベースの空調制御）、煙・CO警報の取り外し検知、防犯センサーのイベント履歴、証明書失効リストの分割管理

- 新デバイスタイプ（9）：冷蔵庫・洗濯機・食洗機・ロボット掃除機・エアコン・空気清浄機・空気質センサー・煙/CO警報器・温度管理庫
- 新クラスター：各種モード（洗濯/食洗機/冷蔵庫/ロボット掃除機）、温度制御、空気質、煙・CO警報、動作状態、ICDマネジメント など

バグ修正と仕様明確化が中心の小規模アップデート。
Matter 1.0 — 2022年11月
初版。照明・スマートプラグ・スイッチ・各種センサー・ドアロック・電動ブラインド・サーモスタット・メディアデバイスなど、スマートホームの基本デバイスに対応。

About this site
Purpose
This Matter Dictionary is a Japanese-language reference site for the Matter specification published by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA).
To make smart home technology more accessible to everyday users in Japan, I felt the need for a place where the specification could be read in more familiar terms. This is an individual project to fill that gap.

About the product database
Listed products are based on CSA certification data (e.g. the Distributed Compliance Ledger). Certification means a product has obtained Matter certification — it does not guarantee that it will actually work or interoperate in a specific ecosystem or in your environment. Please check the manufacturer's official information before purchasing.

About this site's positioning
This is not an official Matter site. It is an unofficial Japanese reference operated by an individual. For official Matter information, please visit the CSA site (https://buildwithmatter.com).
About the logo
The logo is a simple “M” with a little meaning packed in.
- M ── the initial of Matter, and the star of the dictionary. A bold, clear letter, meant to feel like a reliable place to look things up.
- Mint underline ── the underline under a dictionary “headword”: a small mark that says “a word is defined here.”
- Blue dot ── stands for what Matter values most: connection. Set beside the line, it’s a small opening toward what comes next, rather than a full stop.
The dark backdrop keeps things calm and easy to focus on. “Putting things into words, and connecting them” — that’s what this site is for, quietly echoed in the logo.

A summary of device types, clusters, and key features added in each Matter version. Counts are based on the official CSA specifications (Device Library / Application Cluster Specification).
Matter 1.6 — June 2026
A refinement release with no new device categories.
- New clusters (3): Ambient Context Sensing (detects human activity, objects, and sounds), Groupcast (broadcasts one action to multiple devices), Temperature Alarm (graded over/under-temperature alerts)
- Key features: NFC-based commissioning, Joint Fabric (co-administration across ecosystems), Thermostat Suggestions (suggestion-based climate control), unmounted-state detection for smoke/CO alarms, security sensor event history, partitioned certificate revocation lists
Matter 1.5 — November 2025
Major new categories: cameras and closures.
- New device types (18): cameras, video doorbells, intercoms, chimes; closures (windows, doors, panels); irrigation systems and soil sensors; electrical meters, and more
- New clusters (17): camera AV / WebRTC streaming, zone management, closure control/dimension, energy tariffs and metering, TLS certificate/client management, soil measurement, and more

Stronger multi-admin and network foundations.

Matter 1.3 — April 2024
Energy management and cooking appliances.
- New device types (13): EV chargers, device energy management, electrical sensors, ovens, microwaves, cooktops, extractor hoods, water leak/freeze/rain sensors, and more
- New clusters: electrical power/energy measurement, device energy management, EV charging, valve control, scenes management, messages, and more
Matter 1.2 — October 2023
Major appliances arrive.
- New device types (9): refrigerator, laundry washer, dishwasher, robotic vacuum, room air conditioner, air purifier, air quality sensor, smoke/CO alarm, temperature-controlled cabinet
- New clusters: appliance modes (laundry/dishwasher/refrigerator/RVC), temperature control, air quality, smoke/CO alarm, operational state, ICD management, and more
Note: 1.4.1, 1.4.2, and 1.5.1 were minor maintenance releases (NFC onboarding foundation, certificate revocation list support, etc.).
Matter 1.1 — May 2023
A small update focused on bug fixes and specification clarifications.
Matter 1.0 — November 2022
The first version, covering core smart home devices: lighting, smart plugs, switches, sensors, door locks, window coverings, thermostats, and media devices.
